First day of "School"

We have started our home school year, and it has been going great. I am loving the curriculum, and Frankie is enjoying all of the "fun activities". But, I also know that it is important for all of the children to learn how to interact with their peers, and so we have signed them up for LEARN. The kids had their first class this past Thursday, and every Thursday for the next ten weeks, the kids will go to "school". They are excited to have a back pack, and to make new friends. Frankie is taking the "5 Senses Down on the Farm". He will be exploring the farm, the crops, animals and tractors by using his senses. This class is right up his alley, and has all ready impressed his teacher with all of his tractor knowledge.

Marianna is taking a "Vegetale Extravaganza", which is pretty much just that. They read veggie tale books, and talk about God's love. The teacher sent a note home to let us know that they will be painting, and making other messy crafts...right up Marianna's alley. I know she is going to LOVE this class. When I asked her what she learned on her first day of "school", she said "I am special"....yep, right up her alley.
